A pioneer of the area and of crafting terroir driven, single vineyard wines, this wine exemplifies every aspect that Steve tries to showcase in this unique area's growing abilities. A minimalist approach has been taken, allowing the place of origin to make the strongest statement.

Tasting Notes

A deep garnet color leads to aromas of blackberry and cherry. There is a bit of a "dream-cicle" vanilla on the mid palate from the new oak. This is surrounded by dark berry and stone fruit flavors of ripe plum. The finish lingers with orange zest and a hint of kirsch.

Food Pairing Notes

This wine would be wonderful with vegetarian dishes focused on mushrooms or grilled vegetables. With meat the wine would be excellent with rich poultry dishes or lamb.
