What a party! Our third annual White Wine Carnivale
on April 5 was a resounding success and just a whole lot of fun.
The winery and many guests were truly in Venetian mode - great food
from Steve, Sissie, Dave and the gang, the amazing music from The
Chiambella Orchestra, the costumes that many of you wore. And
for the first time ever for a Palmina event, there wasn't even a
threat of rain! Hey, and we thought the wines were pretty darn tasty
too.
Check it all out!
Red, White & Green Party, 2007
Red Wine, White Wine, a Green Christmas Tree...is
it coincidence that the Italian Flag is Red, White & Green??
Steve put on his Chef's hat for the afternoon, and created an assortment
of holiday cicchetti (small bites) and his now almost famous Harvest
Stew. Our wine and chocolate pairing was back and of course there
were the wines! All this wrapped up in good cheer. Happy Holidays!
To those of you who were able to join us for dinner
last summer - Salute! We could not have had more fun. Setting a
table for thirty, firing up our outdoor kitchen, trying to get five
courses ready and to the table in a timely manner - and catching
up with news from friends old and new.
But the best part of the evening was being able to share our passion
for food and wine, and how that translates so fantastically to a
communal table and a memorable evening!
We fired up the grills - all three of them - for
the release of the 2006 Dolcetto. Slightly chilled, the wine goes
perfectly with barbecued foods, and who can resist freshly made
pizza?
